Consultant’s Stories

David Harris

I joined in 2009 having just returned to the UK after 10 years recruiting in Australia. After 3 years I decided I wanted a complete career change and left to become a teacher – but it turned out I very much preferred recruitment to teaching! I had kept in touch with many of my colleagues during my 12 month ‘sabbatical’ and it was fantastic to be welcomed back to Talentedge and restart my recruitment career with colleagues I had already worked with and clients/candidates who were familiar. Over the years I’ve forged some really great long-lasting friendships here and it’s great to work with like-minded people that you also really enjoy socialising with – which you can do as much of or as little as you want to do here.

Alex Laurent

I actually started my career working in accountancy before moving into finance recruitment seven years ago. I joined Talentedge as a consultant in 2015, specialising in permanent recruitment for the tech sector. Back then it was a new area for Talentedge and it’s taken a lot of work to build up a completely new client and candidate base. So it was really satisfying when the desk got so established that I was asked to manage a stand-alone Tech team. I think the best thing about Talentedge is that they’re not afraid to let consultants try something new and they give you the time and support you need to do that.

Our Values

Talentedge is built on four core values that guide us as a business both as employers and recruiters.

It forms the basis of any good relationship and is fundamental to building trust between consultants and the leadership team as well as between individuals across the business.

As an employer we constantly reassess and adapt our approach to ensure we meet the needs of our consultants. We appreciate that consultants circumstances change and we offer the flexibility they need.

It is because we have a deep knowledge of the market, the companies we work with and the candidates we source, that we can offer a high calibre service – through good training and support we help our consultants develop their credibility.

We focus on forming long lasting relationships with clients and candidates and this also applies to our consultants. 50% of our team have been with Talentedge for at least 4 years.

Our Offices

Our London office was specifically designed for us and is a very spacious, relaxed working environment with lots of natural light. It’s been created to be used as both a work and social space and includes a kitchen and break out area for events and parties as well as private meeting rooms. Its in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk from Farringdon, Barbican and City Thames Link stations, and less than 10 mins walk from Chancery Lane and St Pauls. We have loads of fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants on our doorstep as well as One New Change shopping centre nearby.
